HOOMEProject Scope:
Exhibition Identity, Exhibition ConceptDescription:
A project exploring cultural identity through the idea of “home.”
The project focuses on how identity can be expressed and experienced through language, symbolism, and structure. The name HOOME draws from “home” and “hundred,” referencing the concept of 百家姓 (hundreds of family surnames), while the “oo” form carries multiple meanings—suggesting connection, continuity, and cultural symbolism.
A narrative system was developed through four key sections: Door, Room, Root, and Neighborhood. Each element represents a different layer of understanding identity—from personal history to collective belonging—guiding how content is introduced and experienced.
Rather than defining a fixed spatial layout, the project explores how sequencing, naming, and visual language can shape the way audiences engage with stories of cultural identity.
